Welcomes You...
|
The Petersen family with their four children moved to Branson in the summer of 2007 after their father, Dr. Jon Petersen, accepted a position at the Skaggs Community Health Center. Blessed by musical talent and fondness for Bluegrass, the family started the Petersen Family Bluegrass Band, delighting thousands over the last several years throughout the South and Midwest. They enjoy blending their voices and instruments to honor God and love the unity it brings to their family as a whole. Dr. Petersen, a veteran with 23 years service in the United States Air Force, leads the family playing guitar and bass. His best friend and wife, Karen, is the musical mainstay of the group as mandolin player & vocal arranger. Katie (17) plays lively fiddle tunes and sings lead, and Ellen (16) drives the band with her one-of-a-kind Hot Pink Banjo and shares lead vocals. Matthew (14) plays lead guitar and enjoys being creative with the upright bass along with singing harmony with his sisters. The sweetheart of the family, young Julianne (6), captures the hearts of audiences with her solo vocals and is learning fiddle from her older sister. The family recently settled into the Branson Community where they have found several venues to play including festivals, Silver Dollar City, churches, benefits, theaters and band competitions. They play most Saturday nights at Clocker's Cafe in downtown Branson from 6 to 8 pm. Please check the Schedule for exceptions. |
